DIYs, RENOVATIONS AND CREATIVE BUILDS ARE MY PASSION!
I absolutely love building, decorating and renovating. I’ve been doing carpentry projects since 2000. My skills have improved tremendously and I always tell people, with the right tools, you too can do it! I’ve followed tons of woodworking plans for beginners for most of my projects:
- building furniture, laying down hardwood floors, installing tile, etc
- renovating my 1922 home since 2006
- making custom signs, furniture or any other inspiration I find on the internet!
- figuring out how to freshen up a space by simply swapping things in my own home – for free!!
From a chevron dining room table, tv unit, garden/bar cart, wall-to-wall closet, I’ve pretty much had a vision and a plan, researched what I needed and made it come to life!!
My only regret is that I hadn’t realized my love for carpentry while my grandfather was still alive. He had built homes, barns, cabinets his whole life. The tips and tricks-of-the-trade I could have been taught by him would have been invaluable. His knowledge of building jigs for rafters and such were so amazing!
